Saipem, Hyperion launch East Med JV
Italian contractor Saipem announced on March 31 it was creating a joint venture with Cyprus-headquartered Hyperion Systems Engineering to provide consultancy and engineering services in the East Mediterranean region.
"The new company allows Saipem to consolidate its presence in the East Mediterranean area and to contribute to the energy development of the region," the head of business development at Saipem's Xsight division Luca Brunetto commented. The partnership "creates the basis for seizing new business opportunities and increases our ability to provide services in the strategic EastMed market."
