Saipem lands $1.25bn in Middle East contracts
Italian engineering group Saipem has secured onshore and offshore contracts in the Middle East worth approximately $1.25bn, the company announced on June 28.
The first batch of contracts covers onshore drilling extensions worth $600mn, including 10-year extensions for four land rigs for work at various oil and gas fields. Saipem has also been awarded four new contracts worth $650mn in the region covering engineering procurement, construction and installation of several offshore jackets, decks, subsea pipelines, subsea composite cables, umbilicals, fibre optic cables and brownfield modifications.
