Santos March Quarter Gas Output Rises
Santos has reported a rise in its third March quarter production which stood at 12.4 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe), up 13% primarily due to production from new assets.
The company also said that its quarterly gas production was at 53 petajouls, higher by 6% compared with corresponding period due to new production from the Reindeer and Spar projects in Western Australia and Wortel in Indonesia, and higher Cooper Basin production as the recovery from flooding continues.
"Our production compared to last year has increased as a result of adding four new projects to the base business," Chief Executive Officer David Knox said.
Company’s $16 billion Gladstone liquefied natural gas project (GLNG) also remains on track for first LNG by 2015, Knox said.
