Santos Reports Spill at CSG Drill Site
Australia’s Santos has said that four different leaks have taken place a coal seam gas drilling site near Narrabri in northern NSW since June, Sydenet Morninf Herald said.
The company said the spills were from operations formerly owned by Eastern Star Gas, which the former took over in November last year.
''We want the company to take full responsibility for this, and we want the government to start investigating it properly,'' said a Wilderness Society campaigner, Naomi Hogan.
The Wilderness Society did independent tests on the site and reported high levels of arsenic, lead, and chromium. Santos said it did not dispute the findings.
