Saudi Arabia Discovers New Gas Field
Saudi Aramco has discovered a new gas field in the Red Sea, said Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, reported Saudi Press Agency.
In a statement, he said the gas flowed at the rate of 10 million cubic feet per day at a depth of 17,700 feet and at a rate of 5.2 million cubic standard feet per day at another test at the depth of 17,275 ft.
The company plans to drill more wells to evaluate the size of the field.
