Sefe completes first LNG import into Germany via Wilhelmshaven terminal

Sefe has completed its first import of LNG into Germany using its booked slot in the Wilhelmshaven LNG terminal, the company announced on May 27. The regasified LNG will be managed by Sefe and its sales arm, Wingas, as part of Sefe’s European gas portfolio.

In autumn 2023, during the first regular Deutsche Energy Terminal (DET) auction, Sefe secured slots at the Wilhelmshaven 1 LNG terminal. Additionally, Sefe secured slots at the Lubmin LNG terminal in the Sassnitz-Mukran ferry port, which will be utilized after the conclusion of a test phase.

The third-party LNG cargo was sourced from the US and procured by Sefe on a delivered ex-ship (DES) basis.

Sefe is active in trading and portfolio management, sales, transportation, and storage of energy. Gazprom Marketing and Trading Singapore was a unit of Gazprom Germania, now called Sefe, after the parent company relinquished ownership following Western sanctions imposed on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

Sefe recently signed long-term LNG deals with Oman LNG and Adnoc.
