B92: Gas Connection Between Serbia, Bulgaria "EU Priority"

The project to build a gas connection between Serbia and Bulgaria is one of the EU's top priorities, European Commission Vice President Maros Sefcovic has said.

The proposals for funding the project pursuant to EU rules for IPA funds are yet to be discussed with the prime ministers and the ministers in charge, Sefcovic told reporters as he toured the Nikola Tesla power plant in Obrenovac near Belgrade.

A special EU working group is working on the project and progress is expected to be made at the next meeting, to be held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, next month, he said.
