The South Stream pipeline is a “national project” and of vital interest for Serbia, Minister of Economics Mladjan Dinkic says.
At the beginning of November, the Russian energy group Gazprom has negotiated the last conditions of the contract with Serbia. In Serbia, the investment volume comes at € 1.7bn. According to Gazprom, 2,200 new jobs will be created in Serbia. In Serbia, the pipeline has a length of 300 kilometers. Russian Gazprom and Serbian Srbijagas have already established a joint venture, in which Gazprom holds 51% of the shares. Croatia and Bosnia will be connected with the Serbian part of the pipeline.
