Shana: Kiev Ready to Join Gas Storage Projects in Iran
TEHRAN, May 30 (Shana) – Ukraine has signaled preparedness to become engaged in gas storage projects with Iranian private sector developers, a senior petroleum official said.
Amir Hossein Zamaninia, deputy petroleum minister in international affairs and trading, told Shana after a meeting with Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin in Tehran that delivery of gas to Ukraine in liquefied natural gas (LNG) consignments, gas storage, construction of oil equipment and formation of a joint venture with Ukrainian companies were the highlights of his Sunday meeting.
He said Ukrainian companies have a load of experiences in gas storage schemes and have indicated their willingness to join such projects the Islamic Republic of Iran.

"They have also voiced readiness to invest in gas storage initiatives in Iran," he added.
He said Iran and Ukraine have agreed to form up a consortium of European companies with Iranian private companies for developing energy projects jointly.
Kiev wants closer cooperation with Iran in all fields including economy, agriculture, tourism, culture, science and energy, Pavlo Klimkin said in a meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani earlier on Sunday.
