Shelf Drilling Wins India Contract

Dubai-headquartered shallow-water offshore drilling contractor, Shelf Drilling, has won a three-year contract with Indian state-run ONGC, it said October 9.

The Trident II jack-up rig will operate in ONGC’s offshore Mumbai High field. The planned start-up of operations is Q1 2020, the company said.

Mumbai high oil and gas field is located 176 km off the west coast of Mumbai, India. The field was discovered in the mid-1960s.
