Shell Considering Polish Shales
Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reports that Royal Dutch Shell is considering shale gas
exploration in Poland, possibly in cooperation with the refiner PKN Orlen or gas monopoly
PGNiG.Shell Polska's CEO, Paweł Żuk, told the newspaper that he was seriously interested in
obtaining an exploration concession for the company.Reports has circulated earlier that PGNiG was in partnering discussions with Centrica, BP
and Shell on the Polish gas monopoly's shale gas licenses.
