Shizuoka Gas, Malaysia LNG Extend LNG Deal

Shizuoka Gas Company signed a new deal to purchase LNG from Malaysia LNG. The Japanese firm has been buying LNG from Malaysia LNG since 1996 and the existing LNG sale and purchase agreement is set to expire in March 2016.

The new contract will come into effect from April 2016. In accordance with this MOA, Shizuoka Gas and Malaysia LNG will move forward with discussions to conclude a new LNG sale and purchase agreement, the Japanese firm said in a statement.

Malaysia LNG is 90% owned by PETRONAS.
