Sino Sees Boost in Resources at Sanjiaobei

Sino Gas and Energy has reported that independent assessor RISC has evaluated 2C contingent resources for Sino’s Sanjiaobei production sharing contract at 389 billion cubic feet of gas, up 146% from February’s estimate.

RISC said mid-case prospective resources were up 159% to 754Bcf, proved and probable reserves were up 33% to 8Bcf and gas initially in place was up 127% to 4.2 trillion cubic feet.

RISC plans to undertake an assessment on both the Linxing and an updated Sanjiaobei projects.

It will also consider the increased resources, successful flow tests, increased gas recovery and improved gas price, which Sino ses as being accretive to the value of its  share of the project.
