Sino Oil and Gas Gets Sanjiao CBM Project Nod

Sino Oil and Gas Holdings Limited has received the go ahead from China’s National Development and Reform Commission – National Energy Administration (NEA) to start work on development of coal bed methane reserve in Sanjiao region.

The Sanjiao CBM block is a joint project between the Group’s wholly-owned subsidiary Orion Energy International Inc. and China National Petroleum Corporation.

As endorsed by the State Reserve Committee, the block has proven reserves of 43.5 billion cubic metres. With the expected commencement of piped delivery in the fourth quarter upon completion of two pipelines connecting the Sanjiao block and end-users, the project is ready to enter commercial production.
