Sinopec's Gas Output in 2014 Up More Than 8%

Chinese state owned energy major Sinopec's natural gas output increased in 2014.

Company’s gas output last year was up 8.51 percent year-on-year to 716 billion cubic feet, according to operational statistics released by the company Tuesday.

Crude oil output stood at 360.73 million barrels, up 8.84 percent on year. Domestic crude oil growth was almost negligible at 0.01 percent. Overseas operations were the contributing factor in overall growth, having notched up a growth of 131.8 percent on-year.

Total oil and gas output in 2014 was recorded at 480.12 million barrels of oil equivalent, up 8.53 percent year on year.

The operational data was unaudited, the company said.
