Six companies put in lowest bids in Pakistan LNG tender

Six companies have put in the lowest bids for the supply of nine LNG cargoes to Pakistan in July and August, state-run Pakistan LNG said in a document posted on June 2.

Vitol placed the lowest bid for three cargoes, while Qatar Petroleum placed the lowest bid for two cargoes, Pakistan LNG said. Trafigura, Eni, BP and DXT Commodities placed the lowest bids for the other four cargoes.

The lowest bids ranged from $10.2937/mn Btu to $11.7747/mn Btu for the cargoes to be delivered in July, and $10.51/mn Btu to $10.8312/mn Btu for the cargoes to be delivered in August.

State-owned Pakistan LNG had last month invited bids for the supply of nine 140,000-m3 LNG cargoes. Pakistan LNG is seeking LNG cargoes for delivery on July 8-9, July 12-13, July 17-18, July 28-29, August 2-3, August 7-8, August 12-13, August 17-18 and August 27-28.

Pakistan has two import terminals – one operated by Pakistan GasPort and one by Elengy. Both are at Port Qasim near Karachi.
