Socar's Jan-July Output Dips 7%
Azerbaijan's state oil company Socar produced 3.693bn m3 of gas in the first seven months of the year, down 7.2% against the same period last year. Socar reported that in July 2016 the company’s gas output reached 531mn m³.
Azerbaijan's total output, including what was reinjected into oil wells, was 19.524bn m³ during January-July, which was up 13.9% year-on-year.
BP-led projects, Shah Deniz and Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, accounted for more than 71% of Azerbaijan’s total gas output.

Socar did not reveal the total commercial gas produced by BP, but during the first half of the year Azerbaijan’s total commercial gas output reached 9.363bn m³, including 6.71bn m³ from BP-operated fields.
In 2015 SOCAR extracted 6.871bn m³ of commercial gas, while the total commercial gas amount stood at 19.723bn m³ in the country.
