Sound Oil Confirms Gas Bearing Levels in Nervesa Licence in Italy

After completing the logging of its second appraisal well, UK-based Sound Oil confirmed various gas bearing levels in its Nervesa licence in North-East Italy.

‘The Company confirms that mud log gas shows were recorded while drilling in the target reservoir zones within the Miocene San Dona Formation. The wireline logging has confirmed the presence of various gas bearing levels’ reads a note released on Wednesday

Accordingly, the company will now proceed to complete the well and to test the well thereafter, after which a further announcement will be made.

Sound Oil received the final Environmental Impact Assessment approval from the Veneto Region in North-East Italy for its second Nervesa appraisal well in December 2014.
