Sound Oil’s Casa Tiberi to Produce First Gas by June
After receiving the production concession from the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, UK-based Sound Oil sees its first gas production from Italy’s Casa Tiberi field in the first half of this year.
"We are pleased to report continued operational progress in Italy,” chief executive James Parsons said in a note released on Friday.
Casa Tiberi is a small asset, but Sound Oil sounds enthusiastic about the field’s ability to add to the company’s near term production and revenue.
"Operations on site are expected to commence in April, once construction of the production skid is complete," Parsons added.
In July, Sound Oil announced a gas discovery at Nervesa in the Po Valley. The company expects to achieve first gas sales from Nervesa in 2015. The UK-based firm is also working on the Rapagnano field, which delivered first gas in May.
The Casa Tiberi discovery well was drilled in 2011 and perforated in a single zone at a depth of 571-581 metres.
