Sound's 3rd Morocco Well Finds 'Gas Shows'
UK-based independent Sound Energy has found “gas shows” with its third well (TE-8) at the Tendrara licence, onshore Morocco.
It confirmed the presence of a TAGI sand sequence, starting at a depth of 2,643 metres, and the presence of gas shows in the TAGI sands. But it cautioned that logging will only occur after the completion of drilling operations and that gas shows, although a positive initial indication, should not be considered conclusive without further wireline logging and analysis. Sound said it will now drill the rest of the TAGI sequence and the Paleozoic.
It spudded TE-8 last month having drilled two successful discovery wells (TE-6 and TE-7).

Sound also said that its Badile exploration well, onshore Italy, has now been drilled to the first casing point at a measured depth of 545 metres, with casing set and cemented in the Pleistocene Asti sands formation. It will now drill on to a second casing point at 1,400 metres depth.
The above updates on Morocco and Italy were due to be presented to Sound Energy's annual general meeting late morning on March 15.
