StarAfrica: S/Africa Wants Mozambique Power Deal Reviewed
South African Energy Minister, Tina Joemat-Pettersson on Friday arrived in Mozambique for a one-day visit to renegotiate possibilities of the two countries to review a deal to increase power supply, APA can report.South Africa needs to increase the quantity of natural gas and electrical energy imports from Mozambique to reduce the worst energy crisis, characterized by constant and prolonged load shedding in most of the country’s productive sectors.
It plans to improve its pipelines and ports to allow for more gas imports for use in power generation.
