South Korea Restarts Iranian NGL imports

South Korea restarted imports of natural gas liquids (NGL) from Iran in March after a gap of eight months, Reuters has reported citing data from customs department.

The imports were halted because South Korea was unable to find ships to carry the feedstock due to the European Union sanctions on Iran.

South Korea imported a total of 101,029 tonnes of NGL last month, with 72,750 tonnes coming from Iran, the data showed, Reuters reported.

Two sources familiar with the situation said NGL shipments to South Korea could have resumed using Iranian ships, Reuters added.
