South Pars Condensate Exports Touch $2 bn

Iran’s export of gas condensate from the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) in the southern province of Bushehr during first three months of current Iranian calendar year, which stared on March 21, has crossed more than 2.3 million tons valued at over $2 billion, Press TV reported.

Main destination for exports included China, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, India, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Turkey, Romania, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Afghanistan. 

Director General of the PSEEZ Customs Department Ahmad Pour-Heidar said Tuesday that condensate export from the zone rose by 45 percent in weight and 97 percent in value during the three-month period compared to the corresponding period in the previous calendar year, Press TV reported. 

The South Pars gas field is estimated to contains 14 trillion cubic meters of gas and 18 billion barrels of condensate.
