inSerbia: South Stream Pipeline Leg To Macedonia Underway – Bacevic
Serbian Minister of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning Milan Bacevic announced the signing of the contract on draft spatial plan for the southern section of the South Stream pipeline set to supply gas from Serbia to Macedonian consumers.
Bacevic told Tanjug that the spatial plan concept was agreed on by the representatives of the Serbian Ministry, the Government of Russia and the Gazprom company.
“The only thing that remains is for Srbijagas and the Republic Agency for Spatial Planning to sign the contract on drafting of the spatial plan,” he said, adding that Skopje had accepted the idea that gas can be supplied from Serbia, although the country can also source its gas from Bulgaria.
He specified that the pipeline leg to Macedonia is planned to include another section leading to Kosovo and Metohija, in the same way as it was done with the section towards Croatia and Republika Srpska. MORE
