Focus: I stand for South Stream gas pipeline in conformity with EU legislation: Bulgarian President

I stand for the construction of South Stream gas pipeline provided that it is complied with the European legislation and the implementation of the project under European rules at market price. That is what President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev said at a conference reporting the results during his second year on the post, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency announced. 

“We have been working hard for diversification of the country by construction of gas connectors as well as concessions for gas mining in the Bulgarian Black Sea. Gas interconnector Bulgaria-Greece has strategic importance for the country, which connects Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) that will supply Europe with gas from Azerbaijan,” the head of state said further.
