Focus: South Stream turns Bulgaria major gas centre on the Balkans: Energy Minister

South Stream gas pipeline project turns Bulgaria into a major gas centre on the Balkans. That is what Bulgarian Minister of Economy and Energy Dragomir Stoinev said after a meeting with Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and Energy Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency announced. 

“I am sure that it is a good start for the Bulgarian economy and energy. We already have direct access to the natural gas in Russia. We will not be dependent on other countries. Bulgaria turns into a major gas centre of the Balkans. From here on fast realization of the project depends on us. The project in its Bulgarian section has to be completed within the next two years,” he added.   MORE
