Spain’s HAM inaugurates CNG, LNG station
Spanish fuels company HAM announced August 12 it had inaugurated a fixed service station that can provide liquefied and compressed natural gas.
HAM said that it set up a mobile service station in the Mediterranean coastal county of Valencia in 2019 for liquefied natural gas (LNG), adding compressed natural gas (CNG) services a few months later. It said it has now inaugurated the facility as a fixed service station.

“The new CNG-LNG fixed gas station is remotely monitored, continuously registering different parameters, which guarantee its perfect operation and allows the rapid resolution of any incident,” the company said.
The Spanish economy has embraced the energy transition, with energy company Repsol announcing plans to cut carbon intensity by 12% by 2025, 25% by 2030, and 50% by 2040.
Along with train manufacturer Talgo, Repsol announced plans in July to promote the development of trains that can run on hydrogen.
The partnership will focus on developments in the Iberian peninsula of Spain, with Talgo already in the process of developing hydrogen-powered trains.
