Spirit Awards UK Barrow Terminal Contract
UK utility Centrica's upstream joint venture Spirit Energy has awarded First Integrated Solutions (FIS) a £4.5mn ($5.9mn) contract for the provision of rental equipment services and associated consumable purchases.
The £4.5mn contract will see First Integrated Solutions provide support for Spirit Energy’s onshore Barrow gas terminal, the delivery point for the sour Irish Sea gasfields, and their operated offshore facilities.
FIS CEO Martin Suttie said April 18 that the win is "validation of many of the improvements we have been making in the business including investment in new fleet, team training and maximising the amount of rental equipment ready on the shelf."
Spirit is 69% owned by Centrica and 31% by Bayerngas Norway, itself owned by Bayerngas and Stadtwerke Munchen.
