Standart: Economy minister: South Stream is in the interest of Bulgaria

The South Stream gas pipeline is in the interest of Bulgaria and will be realized, economy minister Dragomir Stoynev said.

"Our country works on the project according to the schedule. We have a delay of about 30 days, but I assure you that we do everything possible for this project to really take place, because it is strategic for the country," Stoynev said.

The minister also added that way too many projects are not realized, so the government should pursue the national interests and make South Stream happen. The minister said he was disappointed that Nabucco will not pass through Bulgaria.
