Statoil Chooses Gas4Sea for LNG Bunkering

Norway's Statoil has selected Gas4Sea to be its LNG bunker fuel supplier at the Dutch port of Rotterdam for four crude shuttle tankers, said France's Engie October 10.

Gas4Sea was formed in 2016 through a grouping of Engie and Japanese firms Mitsubishi Corporation and NYK.

The four planned dual-fuel vessels are to come into service in early 2020 and will be operated by Statoil in northern Europe.

Gas4Sea will supply LNG using the Engie Zeebrugge, which has an LNG capacity of 5,000 m3. The vessel began operating earlier this year and performs ship-to-ship LNG bunkering services at the Belgian port of Zeebrugge.
