The Sentinal: Abandoned plan to drill for gas in Stoke-on-Trent to be reviewed
COUNCIL'S abandoned plan to drill for gas which cost taxpayers £400,000 is to be the subject of a review.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council is to look again at the ditched coal bed methane (CBM) scheme.
Council leaders announced the gas drilling proposals last summer, claiming that exploiting untapped methane reserves deep underground could help trigger a new industrial revolution in the Potteries.
