Strike confirms WE-3 as "major producer"

Sydney-listed Strike Energy on August 29 said that preliminary analysis of West Erregulla-3 (WE-3) testing indicates a substantial sized connected reserve resulting from an “excellent” production test.

WE-3 stabilised rates of 83mn ft3/day were recorded with a high flowing wellhead pressure of 3,474 psi and were limited by surface equipment with pressures indicating the potential to flow at higher rates stably, the company said.

“Preliminary interpretation of these results underpins the deliverability of the reserves booked across the north of the field in Netherland Sewell and Associates Inc recent field wide reserves upgrade as released to the market on 27th July 2022 West Erregulla Reserves upgraded by 41%,” Strike said.

Strike operates EP469 in a 50:50 joint venture with fellow Australian company Warrego Energy. Strike owns 7.63% of Warrego. This gives Strike a further 4% ownership of EP469.
