Talisman, San Leon Spud Third Well in Baltic Basin

Talisman Energy and San Leon Energy have spud the Szymkowo-1 well on the Szczawno Concession in the Baltic Basin, Poland.

The well, which is operated by Talisman Energy Poland, is designed to test the deep unconventional gas potential of the Lower Silurian, Ordovician and Upper Cambrian. 

The Szymkowo-1 well,  the third well in the initial three well program in the Baltic Basin between San Leon and Talisman, will be the southernmost and deepest penetration of the Paleozoic section in the Baltic Basin.
