Taner Yildiz: “Nabucco project is still on the table”
Selection of Trans Adriatic Pipeline does not mean that Nabucco project has finished, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz told Sabah newspaper.
According to him, Nabucco project is still on the table: “Our country supported Nabucco and TAP at the same time. These projects are not competitors, but complete each other”.
The Minister said that taking the positions of gas suppliers including Iraq’s gas and need of European countries into account, Nabucco project can be realized.
He also noted that according to IAE forecasts, EU will need additional 200 bcm of gas by 2030. MORE
