Tanzania Catches Up with Wentworth Payments

Gas producer Wentworth has now been fully paid for gas deliveries to Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation and Tanzania Electric Supply Company, it said in a stock exchange statement August 17.

The payments total $1.9mn net to Wentworth for June 2017 ($1.7mn) and October 2016 ($0.2mn) gas sales invoices, it said. "Wentworth also confirms that all principal and interest payments currently due on the Company's medium-term credit facilities are now fully settled. The next principal payment of $1mn is due in December 2017."

Wentworth reported disappointing Q2 results August 10, citing delayed payments for gas deliveries as a contributing factor.
