Tanzania Daily News: Magufuli Spells Out Ambitious Plans for Mtwara

Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Union presidential candidate, Dr John Magufuli, yesterday pledged massive investments in port, rail and road networks in Mtwara and Lindi to transform the regions into economic hubs serving neighbouring countries.

He told a campaign rally at the Lawi Nangwanda Sijaona Stadium in Mtwara Municipality that owing to the discovery of natural gas in the area, the regions have a huge potential of becoming the key drivers of the country's economy.
