Technip Energies, Clough bag Papua LNG Feed contract
French Technip Energies, in partnership with Australia's Clough, has been selected to perform the front end engineering design (Feed) for TotalEnergies' Papua LNG project's upstream production facilities in Papua New Guinea (PNG), the companies said on August 22 in a joint statement.
The upstream production facilities cover the development of the Elk and Antelope onshore gas fields including the well pads and the central processing facility. It also incorporates a carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) scheme to remove the fields' native CO2 and reinject it into the reservoirs.

TotalEnergies is developing the two train 5.6mn metric tons/year Papua LNG project with ExxonMobil and Oil Search, which was acquired by Australia’s Santos last year.
The first phase of Feed studies for the project was launched by TotalEnergies in July. The project is targeting a final investment decision around the end of 2023, and a start-up at the end of 2027.
