Technip Energies launches Capture. Now platform to accelerate CCUS

Technip Energies on May 23 unveiled Capture. Now, a platform designed to consolidate and advance its carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS) technologies.

International Energy Agency projections indicate that achieving a 7 giga tons/year CCUS capacity by 2050 is critical to meeting global net zero goals. By integrating all its CCUS solutions under one umbrella, Technip Energies aims to capture opportunities in carbon transformation and valorisation, it said.

With ongoing front-end engineering design and engineering, procurement, and construction projects, Technip Energies said it is contributing to the capture of more than 30mn metric tons/yr of CO2. These projects encompass diverse sectors, including large-scale blue H2 facilities, carbon capture units for power or waste to energy plants utilising Shell CANSOLV technology, and carbon capture and storage (CCS) solutions applied to low-carbon LNG facilities.

Julie Cranga, VP of business development CO2 management of Technip Energies said that Capture. Now reinforces the company’s commitment to shaping the CCUS industry and pushing the boundaries of carbon transformation and valorisation. Cranga also highlighted the company's dedication to developing a growing portfolio of innovative CCUS technologies and solutions to lead the way toward a low-carbon society.
