Ship and Bunker: TEN-T Pushing LNG Bunkering Development
One of the largest awards supports LNG bunkering in Rotterdam
The Trans-European Network for Transport (TEN-T) is providing €105 million ($138 million) for seven liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering projects under its 2012 Multi-Annual Call and Annual Call, natural gas industry group NGVA Europe reports .
The funds are part of a total of €1.597 billion ($2.106 billion) for Europeantransport infrastructure projects funded under the program.
TEN-T is providing €1.0 million ($1.3 million) to pay for half the cost of a study covering technical, operational, economic, and legal aspects of bunkering on the Spanish Mediterranean coast, plus another €602,000 ($794,000) for the development of bunkering facilities and procedures in the northwestern Iberian Peninsula.
