Tepco sets up hydrogen joint venture firm in Japan
Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco), Yamanashi Prefecture and Toray Industries have set up a joint venture to develop a hydrogen supply chain in Japan, Tepco said on February 28.
Yamanashi Hydrogen Company will work on hydrogen production, supply, sales and transportation. Full-scale operations of the company are scheduled to start in April this year.
Yamanashi Prefecture will have 50% interest in the company while Tepco and Toray will own 25% equity each.
