Thai PTT Establishes LNG Unit

Thai PTT Public Company (PTT) has established a new joint venture company to carry out business related to LNG, it said June 23.

The new venture will act as the first step of investment expansion in full integrated LNG value chain, with PTTEP Business Center Company, a subsidiary of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company (PTTEP).

Both PTT and PTT Global LNG Company will hold 50% stake in the unit.

Thailand’s LNG imports are gradually rising as local supplies as well imports from Myanmar are dwindling.
