Kyiv Post: TNK-BP upbeat on its bid for Ukraine gas exploration PSA

Russian-British energy joint venture TNK-BP is upbeat on its chances for winning a tender to sign of a production sharing agreement with Ukraine to explore for hydrocarbons on the Yuzivska field (Kharkiv and Donetsk oblasts), Interfax-Ukraine reported on April 12 citing German Khan, the company's executive director. 

"We're full of optimism. We want to win, as we have advantages," Khan said during a visit to Kyiv on April 12.

According to Khan, TNK-BP knows the Ukrainian market well. One of it's owners, BP,is ready to provide know-how on shale gas and other technologies to explore and extract hydrocarbons from the field, he said.  MORE
