Tokyo Gas October Sales Rise 7%

Japanese utility Tokyo Gas sold 1.14bn m³ of gas in the month of October, up 6.9% on year, the company said November 15.

Sales to the residential sector dropped 4.5% during the month to 177,168mn m³ while business sector volumes rose close to 14% to 201,041mn m³. Sales to the industrial sector rose 12.5% to reach 587,782mn m³.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies was 180.434mn m³, down almost 4% on year.

Tokyo Gas is the primary provider of natural gas to the main cities of Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Yamanashi, and Nagano. It is the largest natural gas utility in Japan.
