Total Close to Kurdistan Oil, Gas Exploration Deal

A report in Sunday Times said that France’s Total is likely to secure oil and gas exploration rights in Iraqi Kurdistan.

The deal could be announced within weeks, the newspaper said. Energy giants like Chevron and ConocoPhillips are also vying for rights in the region.
