Total Eren plans renewable hydrogen production in Australia

Total Eren has established its fourth office in Australia, located in Perth, Western Australia (WA), dedicated to the development of renewable hydrogen projects within the state, the company said on March 10.

Total Eren said it has over the past 18 months created a development pipeline with up to 30 GW of generation capacity, identified and developed internally by the team in Australia, located across the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia and WA.

“Australia is key in Total Eren’s global strategy. The continued growth of our team in Perth is a demonstration of our commitment to advancing our H2 pipeline in Western Australia and our collective global expertise to deliver the lowest cost of energy for the hydrogen future” said David Corchia, CEO of Total Eren.

The company in Australia today owns and operates the largest solar farm in Victoria – the 256 MWp Kiamal solar farm and is advancing on the development of 194 MWp stage 2 of Kiamal solar farm, featuring Australia’s first DC-coupled inverters and up to 300 MWh of energy storage capacity and is expected to commence construction this year.
