The seventh annual Atlantic Council Energy and Economy Summit continued on Friday with discussions on energy geopolitics, revealing Turkey's increasing role in the global energy market. The two-day Atlantic Council Summit underscored the growing power of the Turkish energy market.

Speaking to Daily Sabah, Turkey's ambassador and permanent representative to the OECD, Mithat Rende, talked about Turkey's role in both the regional and global energy market, saying that Turkey, "as a significant energy market," has gained an "important place on the global energy map."
