Trend: Turkey's natural gas supplies secure, says official
Turkey does not expect any interruption in flow of natural gas from its foreign suppliers this winter, deputy head of Turkish Petroleum Pipeline Corporation, or the BOTAS, said Monday Anadolu Agency reported
Abdulvahit Fidan made the remarks at the seventh International Energy Congress and Fair in Ankara.
Last week, Turkey's minister of energy and natural resources said Russian natural gas volumes from the West Line to Turkey had fallen by 40 percent.
Fidan said the interruption was a temporary incident. “Nevertheless, BOTAS is completely prepared to deal with any scenario regarding natural gas supplies,” he said.
