Turkmenistan Cuts Gas Exports to Iran

Turkmenistan has cut its natural gas export to Iran by 50%, Mehr news agency reported Saturday.

The report says the export volume has dropped from daily 20 million CM to 10 m CM and claims that Turkmenistan has not delivered any explanation for the cut yet.

Despite the severe cold in Iran the MD of the Iranian Gas Company has stated that there was no gas shortage in the country. 

Iran is experiencing one of its coldest winter times. In some Iranian cities in the north and the west the temperature went yesterday night up to 19 degrees below zero.
