Turkmenistan Seeks Greater Control Over Gas Projects
Turkmenistan wants to strengthen control over the implementation of the projects aimed at increasing the volume of natural gas production, processing and export, country’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has said.
Speaking at the meeting of the country's Cabinet of Ministers, the President stressed that the priority should be given to the facilities that are planned to be constructed within the second stage of development of Galkynysh gas field, Azer News has reported.
Central Asian nation’s largest fields are located in the eastern part of the country at Mary province -- at Southern Yoloten - Osman (they were merged and were renamed as Galkynysh) and Yashlar with total resources estimated at 26.2 trillion cubic meters.
