A Must Read Report on Shale Gas
We at Natural Gas for Europe follow the work of Michael A. Levi quite closely.
Michael is the David M. Rubenstein Senior Fellow for Energy and the Environment at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Although he is a policy (as opposed to an energy) analyst, his thoughts on unconventional gas development are generally in line with ours.
Michael's latest posting is on the publication by the Natural Gas Subcommittee of the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board of its 90-day interim report on “Improving the Safety and Environmental Performance of Hydraulic Fracturing”. (Read HERE)
Michael comments that the Report:
"... is an exceptional piece of work. Anyone who wants to understand the environmental consequences of shale gas development, and the tools available to manage them, should read it in its entirety."
